About

Ashton Shechter Design

Hello! I’m Ashton and I’m an expert in design systems currently working @ Varo.

A little about me.

I am a lead product designer based in Kansas City, Missouri. My work focuses on systematic design, digital innovation and screen-based consumer experiences. My current projects center on Design Systems, building the foundational components for other UX designers to apply, for developers to code and for consumers to interact with.

Prior to Varo, I was a lead designer for Mode design system at Stitch Fix. I spent time leading design system efforts servicing Garmin. Before Garmin, I was an integral part of the UX team at global advertising agency, VMYL&R. Client work includes, Ford Motor Company, Lincoln Automotive, Sherwin-Williams, Pfizer Clinical Trials, Metro by T-Mobile among other notable brands. I was a key player in the design system development and worldwide distribution of FordPass, an all-in-one mobility app for Ford owners.

At home, you will likely find me playing with my perfect dog, Potato, or honing my homemade pasta-making skillset!
